April 1930: The Twenty-Second Convention of the Baha'is of the United States and Canada

The Twenty-Second Convention of the Baha'is of the United States and Canada in session at the Foundation Hall of the Mashriqu'l-Adhkar, Chicago, April 25-27, 1930. The beautiful silk carpet on the raised platform in the center of the hall is from the Shrine of Baha'u'llah at Bahji, Akka. It was sent by Shoghi Effendi, Guardian of the Baha'i Faith, to the Baha'is of the West, and is to become a permanent ornament of the Temple. This precious carpet had covered the floor of the Tomb, over the place where the remains of Baha'u'llah lay.
